PvP Event: Arena Tournament

Hello dear server,

As a continuation of my previous event, and an attempt to make a better one this time, I will be making an Arena event. The characteristics are these:

a) It will be a 2vs2 Arena Tournament
b) Players must apply as an answer to this thread (This time I WON'T be taking online applications, nor PM applications, nor I will be taking players that didn't apply).
c) Players must post the next:
1. Name of the team
2. Character's names and classes of both the players in the team
3. Lifetime kills of the characters
4. Possible backup(*) character's names and classes
*Possible backup = If you have an alternate character which during the tournament you wish to use instead of the main one.
*The teams don't have to be your actual arena team, and you don't have to make a team for it, it's just a name for the team and both the players in party.
*Only for level 70 players.
d) Each team will have to win 3 matches of 5 to go to the next stage.
e) We will be choosing 16 teams = 32 players.
f) I will be posting the map of which team plays versus which team once I get all the applications.
g) The event's date and time will be posted, as before, once we get enough applications.

REWARDS:
There will be a total of 2 rewards, each one for both the players in the winner team. Also every player that participates in the event will get 10 AV marks.
Winner players will get:
1. 30 AV marks
2. Tittle: Brutal Gladiator

We will be informing the exact date and time of the event once we have it scheduled.
Also, as before, you HAVE to be there at least 20 minutes before the event starts, else your team is out. If a team gets disqualified for not showing, the team that was fighting them will automatically win and go to the next stage.

reEDIT= NEW Rules
1. The event will take place in Skirmish Arena. Maps are random, has all the arena rules, and we will check over possibilities for players to watch the games in live-stream.
2. NO instant mounts.
Lets hope this way it's a bit more clean and more "Joga bonito".
Also for those players asking over 3vs3, I do plan to make it, but first we will start on 2vs2, why? less players and a good way to learn over what to do or not to do later.

I'm curious about this part.. so that backup char has to be players alt? or he can play on char from acc that is shared by whole server? xD .. how do u plan to track it ?

Isnt that title as reward a bit too much ? .. i mean its first arena event .. what will be reward for 2nd event? or 3v3 event? .. maybe make a custom title or i dunno .. custom item (just modified looks with usual stats .. nothing srs) .. or some cool mount ..

The alternate character HAS to be in the same account as the main character or be of the same owner, it's easy to track it down. So no, can't be a shared account, has to belong to the player participating in the event.

Also for Baine, I already stated I can't personally script, develop nor program... THIS is what I CAN do... and therefore I will continue to do it. Despite some players might complain as yourself, I'm sure other players will be grateful, so for them, I am doing my best.

Oh and Croatianfighter, I also need the lifetime kills of the alt, and you can have a maximum of 2 alts.

2. Character's names and classes of both the players in the team: ~Stormtalon - druid ; Unkillable - priest~
3. Lifetime kills of the characters: 13k (+/- 500) ; I dunno exactly, but over 10k for sure.
4. Possible backup(*) character's names and classes: Arthes - rogue (although not on the same account, it's my character, feel free to check)


*One question - will we able to switch for the alternate character(s) we mentioned only if something's wrong with our main, or whenever we feel like (counter combo or something) ?

*Another one : When you already mentioned maps - how will you control where we'll be fighting when we'll be about to join skirmish which works on already based arena system? (33% chance of entering one of the three arenas) And how will you control the matches and SHOW them to the spectators (which is also important part of the tournament) if they're in skirmish system?

and thetitle reward was my sugestion...cause i know alot of pvp guyz would like that title...and i doubt theyll add titles in update anyhow...

BTW something u forgot to say magenta...since this is blizcon ruules well play by theyr brackets..meaning thers winers brakets and losers brakets..so if u lose vs a team u got a second shot ..ur not out of the game for losing 1 time....but than if u get in the Grand final ull need to win 2x 3out of 5 games....all that seen blizcon 3v3 tournament know what im talking about..anyhow ull figure it out at that date

Just posted the new rules and characteristics. Also please remember to put the lifetime kills of backup players as well. I will be posting the map of the fights tomorrow. Also the date of the event completely depends on the amount of applications we get, as you can see there ain't many currently, so we can't be sure of the date/time yet, but once we do, I will be posting here all the information required.

gurubashi is crap 0 los and each fear gets u under texture if ur close to wall..and 3 cyclones/fight? LOL why ...that emans 3 fears /fight as well and 3 sheeps? cmon if u play dps+heal vs dps + heal fight can last even 30 min and 3 cyclones in all that time?

nah ur ruining it-.- im even considering not playing like this...itll b insane to b at a close win than get a fear under map..least in skirm if u get fear under u pop right bak in middle..and it hapens rearly and if it does happen u can remake that fight...but in guru it hapens all the time and u need gm to port u bak up sometimes-.-

nah if u wanan do it like this than im for removing the title reward too....itll b way to 0 skill needed to win it...

+ a new problem in guru that i aalwayz get since i(and alot others) use tab targeting....u will target all the pplfrom above as well not just the guyz in fight-.-

We may could do the event on a different PvP map and enable LoS there to prevent any terrain related issues. The alternate solution would be basic rules to prevent the usage of specific spells or simply do it in the normal arena as skirmish, though nobody could watch the event there except we create a livestream on http://www.livestream.com/crogge
